Family Time....

So this past Friday, I had to drive to vital records to get a birth certificate for Noah and Christian asks me an amazing question.... "Mom, what is Heaven like". I instantly turned off the radio and started explaining to him the things that I am learning in my Heaven study @ church. All of a sudden all three boys were asking questions and I was able to talk not only about God's Perfect Place for us, but about how to get there. That there is nothing on this earth we can do to get there except for one thing......To love God and ask him into our hearts. I explained that God is the ultimate "I AM" and he knows if a person is lying or not. That asking God into your heart is very personal and its an everlasting promise with HIM.
I was able to explain how a person can do HORRIBLE things on earth but as long as he accepts Christ's love in the end, he is able to go to Heaven. As with most people, this statement made them a little upset but we talked about God's Redemption and that there is nothing we can do to upset God. We have already been forgiven for any sin we may commit....HOWEVER.....when you have asked God into your heart and if you are sincere about it, you WANT to change your life for HIM. You start acting a little better, being kinder, reaching out to others to help, you feel bad when you do something you know you shouldn't, something that is against God's plan.

I can't tell you how GREAT this conversation was! It was a really FANTASTIC moment I will remember always as they were hanging on my every word. I told them there was a book on Heaven for Kids and I could get it if they were interested. They all told me yes! :)

This makes me think that sometimes we start something to better ourselves or study something we have always wanted to learn about, when in fact....God has layed it on our hearts to learn so that we can teach others when its time!

Special moments this weekend:
Ryan - "Mom, I'm still hungry can I have dessert?
Mom - "Didn't you eat dinner?"
Ryan - "Yeah, I had those potatoes and the white steak, but I'm still hungry"
Mom - Bent over laughing outloud...."Ryan honey....you had CHICKEN for dinner"
Ryan - "Oh, whoops"


The boys have been having Nerf Gun Fights all weekend...they litterally turned our front yard into a target zone with areas to hide from people etc. The yard looked terrible but they had such a great time we couldn't complain!

Thanks so much to all who have been praying for my sanity this last week until the boys go back to school. I can feel your prayers working! ") I want to enjoy this last week with them....they are getting so big so fast!
